What is it: This year due to COVID-19 instead of a fundraiser, we are having a “FUND-rasier”. We are sticking to the basics. We are asking our families to help support Hailey Elementary, the students, and the faculty. 100% of the proceeds go to the PTA!
Why: Hailey Elementary PTA provides services and funds throughout the year that impact every student and every faculty member. All of these services are funded by donations from the community. Some of those services include: $100 to every educator in the school to buy resources that he/she feels will best support the students in that classroom. That alone costs $4,900! Author visits can cost up to $1,000! Classroom subscriptions like RazKids and StoryWorks cost upwards of $2,000 for the year. Last year due to the amazing fundraising efforts of Hailey Elementary, we were able to provide those services as well as put $16,000 into the Playground Fund to start saving for new playground equipment.
How can you help?: We are glad you asked! If every student donates $25, Hailey PTA can continue to provide the services Hailey Elementary is used to receiving. Every little bit helps!
To make things more interesting:
- Every $20 donation will put you in a drawing to win an Echo Dot Kid’s Edition.
- $200 Red Star Supporters are recognized with a small star on the front office wall.
- $400 Blue Star Supporters are recognized with a large star on the front office wall.
- Top 10 Students with the highest donations raised will be awarded a special edition Comet T-shirt.
- Student who brings in the most donations will get his/her very own star on the office wall, a shout out on social media, and shout out in the Parent Update.
- Students in each grade with the second highest donations will win a Pajama Day for his/her class.
- Students in each grade with the highest donations will win a Popsicle Party and extra recess for his/her class.
